About Pearl Barley
This site was set up by two people who are passionate about food, the environment and the Web. It was inspired by about a million other like minded people who finally made us get up off out arse and do something about it.
Elisabeth Winkler is editor of the Soil Association's Living Earth magazine and has written for most of the major newspapers and magazines. In addition to loving food, her family and the countryside, she can dance.
Mike Farrow has been building Web for twelve years. He has worked for most of the big banks and some interesting organisations as well. Mike lives to surf, likes to walk the coast and loves to dance.
At the moment this site is mainly based on the Bristol and the South West area but we know that the issues touched on here affect everyone. When we get the hang of things we will be covering the rest of Britain.
